Why Choose STAR Dental for Orthodontics/Braces?

Traditional Orthodontics

Traditional metal braces are a tried-and-true orthodontic treatment that can benefit both adults and teens. Using metal brackets that secure an archwire in place, we’re able to place a strategic amount of pressure on your teeth to allow them to gently shift into their ideal positions. With this treatment, we can address crowding, crooked teeth, and bite misalignment that ranges from moderate to severe in nature.

Invisalign® Clear Braces

As a more discreet alternative to traditional braces, we also offer Invisalign. Instead of relying on noticeable metal brackets and wires, this treatment straightens your teeth using custom-crafted Invisalign trays that are similar to retainers. All you do is place them in your mouth and take them out each time you eat, drink anything besides water, or brush and floss your teeth. Every six to eight weeks, you’ll advance to the next series of aligners in your treatment until you’ve achieved your ideal grin.

Orthotropics

Orthotropics is a specialized branch of dentistry that addresses the root cause of some patients’ misalignment that actually has to do with the way that their facial bone structure grows. For some patients who have bite problems, orthotropic treatment may be an ideal solution. Using different oral appliances throughout the process, this procedure will gradually create more space for the teeth and tongue as well as correct your oral and head posture.

Early Interceptive Orthodontics

Some of our younger patients who are around seven years old can benefit from early interceptive orthodontics. While most people don’t start orthodontic treatment until they’re 14 years old, this approach acts to lessen a patient’s need for invasive treatment down the road with early intervention. It can be completed when your child has both permanent and baby teeth and their jaw is still developing. By intercepting orthodontic issues early, you can keep your child from experiencing more severe crowding, misalignment, and bite problems down the road.

Airway Orthodontics

Do you have sleep apnea? Did you know that it could be addressed with specialized airway orthodontic treatment? Countless people have sleeping conditions that impact their overall health by limiting their oxygen levels, and orthodontic treatments can help keep this from happening. Using this specialized therapy, Dr. Davidson can help enlarge and develop the airway to keep you from experiencing the life-altering and unhealthy effects of obstructive sleep apnea.

Extraction Retraction Regret Syndrome Orthodontics

Extraction Retraction Regret Syndrome, more commonly known as ERRS, can encompass a wide array of symptoms that happen after permanent teeth are removed in order to complete orthodontic treatment. Dr. Davidson will examine your jaw and teeth and ask questions about the symptoms you’re experiencing in order to develop a specialized treatment plan. Using functional orthodontics, she can help reopen the spaces where your extracted teeth once were and restore them with high-quality restorations, such as dental implants.

AGGA (Anterior Growth Guidance Appliance) Orthodontics

An Anterior Growth Guidance Appliance applies a gentle amount of pressure on your palate behind the front teeth, to help stimulate development and remodel your facial structure, creating more space in your mouth for your teeth to be housed. This is an excellent treatment for patients who have been told that they need surgery to address TMJ disorder, have an asymmetrical facial structure, have headaches and chronic migraines, or are struggling with breathing issues.
